Since it was formed thirty years ago Long Mountain Shoot has earned a well deserved reputation as one of the premier shoots in the Country. Situated in the Welsh Marches at the western tip of the ancient Long Mountain before it plunges into the Severn Valley lies Leighton Estate Woodlands.

A Premier Shoot To Remember
The day starts at approximately 8.30-9am meeting at the Shoot Lodge which will provide a warm and comfortable base where spectators can return to at any time to during the day. Our aim is to be on the pegs for the first drive at 9.45-10am. Weather dependant we would have elevenses in the field. Generally if the team chose to stop for lunch we would shoot three drives, returning to the Shoot Lodge for lunch and back out for the last drive. Alternatively shooting through, then returning to the Shoot Lodge for a more leisurely lunch. Flexibility is our key word.

The Estate recently converted a barn into a brand new luxury shoot lodge, perfectly situated in the centre of the Estate on the Long Mountain. It provides breathtaking views over the Severn Valley towards Powis Castle and onwards to the Berwyn Mountains. The day starts at the Shoot Lodge which will provide a warm and comfortable base where spectators can return to any time during the day. Lunch will be provided during the shoot or at the end of the day.
